Please find given below an important update regarding the Refund Process:
Below is the procedure for agents to follow if they are applying for a refund through the Air Canada website. Please review and refresh this process with the team to help streamline refunds.
Please remind your agencies that if AC has reissued their ticket, we process the refund to the AC ticket, not the agency ticket. Therefore the credit memo will not be associated to the agency ticket. This may be why they are not aware that the refund was processed.
Also, if they are requesting a refund, it’s important that they choose ‘Refund Request’ and identify themselves as a travel agent. If they choose ‘Flight Delay or Cancellation Claim’ that means they are requesting compensation for the passenger, and the request will go to Customer Relations.
Request please ensure compliance with the above to minimize inconvenience/delays. Would request your help in cascading the above information with the Operations/Refunds Team.
