Lufthansa strike causes flight disruptions on 12 February 2026

The pilots' union Vereinigung Cockpit (VC) and the cabin crew union UFO have announced a one-day strike at Lufthansa at short notice for Thursday, 12 February 2026.

Lufthansa expects extensive cancellations across its entire route network. Please note: Flights operated by Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Eurowings, SWISS, Air Dolomiti, Discover Airlines, Edelweiss and Lufthansa City Airlines will not be affected by the strike.

Travelers who are affected by an irregularity will be informed accordingly (provided the contact details are stored in the booking).

For cancelled flights or flights which have been automatically rebooked by the airline, the Schedule Change/Irregularity Policy for Travel Agents (OS/SN/LH/LX) applies.
