Re- Implementation of Revised G8 International Arrival and Departure Fee to/from Thailand – TBO.COM

Greetings From Malaysia Airlines !

Malaysia Airlines would like to inform you on an update that the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) has officially

implemented the revised International Arrival and Departure Fee (G8 Fee).

The revised G8 fee shall be applied at the rate of THB 25 per passenger per flight, with an effective date of 1 February 2026,

as officially announced by CAAT.

Any tickets issued on or after 1 February 2026 will be subject to the revised G8 fee, in accordance with the applicable

regulatory requirements.

For group with departures to/from Thailand , please follow as mentioned below:

For advance groups unable to issue tickets prior to 1Feb26, agents should perform a modification action in GP effective

1 Feb 2026. This will trigger the GP to apply the new G8 tax accordingly, while we will be honoring the same base fares.

Guidelines for Agents:

Agents should perform a modification by changing the Group Category to “RM Approval”.

- If already using “RM Approval”, please change the category to “Others”.

- In the remarks box to update as ‘ Trigger G8 Tax revision.’

When submitting the modification, please ensure the original Trip Type is correctly updated.

- This is especially important if the Trip Type has changed due to schedule changes updated in GP.

We would like the agent who have definite groups and ready to issue tickets to perform the modification for the G8 tax revision .

- Agent to update the revised calculated balance payment into GP before TTL expiry.

Kindly cascade this information to all the concerned staff.
